Debra Schaumberg

Debra Schaumberg has studied traditional drawing and painting techniques and has adapted these into her own unique style. Schaumberg’s recent work is accomplished with a palette knife and is a representational translation of the interaction of the energy emanating from the world around her with her deepest inner self. For Schaumberg, painting is part of her journey of personal enrichment; an act of living with intent. 

Schaumberg’s paintings are achieved using the ‘alla prima’ technique, allowing her to stay attuned to the validity of dreams and passions that connect the deepest fathoms of us all. In essence, her works are depictions not of ‘what is’ but of how the world looks to her, as expressed through the medium of paint. 

Schaumberg has exhibited her work in multiple National and International Juried exhibitions and with the American Impressionist Society. Her work is widely collected throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
